THE NEW PERFECT FIT IN CYCLING GLASSES
During the minor Sports Innovation at Delft University, we got to work on a sports-related project together with a client. The project was consisting two parts: a research and design part. This was done to analyse the real problem thoroughly, where companies do not have or take the time to define what is there already and what to design for. This taking a step back was done through quantitative databases and qualitative questionnaires.
The second part was the design of a pair of adjustable cycling glasses that fit as many people as possible. This design process was new for some teammates so this resulted also in facilitating a design process as Industrial Design student to peers, managing the creative processes.
Overall this minor showed me a full and round design process of hardcore product development and the power that research can have on product development.
