Design for the User Experience
The value of interactive systems lies in their ability to support and mediate user experiences rather than in what we can do with them and what they look like. It’s about how they enable us to carry out activities that are meaningful to us. This elective focused on being able to define such a User Experience. Know how to acquire insights into how this evolves over time. Being able to obtain an overview of methods for different phases of the design process. Also being able to choose and apply appropriate methods to collect relevant user information for the UX design process and evaluating user experience.
This elective gave a whole new layer to user experience: how to get acquainted with it and how to evaluate data. This resulted in a more professional, thorough and academic approach to UX design in my projects to come.
