The first semester at university. One that fully stood for introduction to
Industrial Design. Getting used to a different mindset and got
acquainted with ideation a lot. ‘Bugged 2.0’ was the ideal project for
this. A little weird project, though fun. Giving character and emotion
to everyday products. The result; an interactive umbrella. It
introduced to all the social, creative and technical aspects of design.
As extra-curricular activity I got to work on the project ‘Getikt’,
exhibited at the DDW. It showed that as first years student you are
even capable to contribute to a great extent.
The elective ‘Disruptive Business Processes’, was interesting,
though gave minimal introduction to the business side of design.
Therefor this became a goal of the second semester.
A downside of a fun project and side projects were my results in the
Bachelor College courses. I failed Calculus due to circumstances
and had to do a resit for Physics.
